Winged Penny Review: The magazine for the old souls/the dreamers/lost spirits/small outdated pieces of metal

Winged Penny Review is a nonprofit magazine of timelessness. We strive to blend traditional with contemporary, nuance with simplicity, and established with novel. Here, we have a passion for literature and we hope you do, too.

At Winged Penny Review, we believe that no creative voice should pass unheard. Every individual spark in a human being tells a story; it is one more binding nexus in the universe full of current and past creative voices. We celebrate literary art in all forms and wish to experience the world through the lens of other artists. We are intrigued by the universal experience of emotion, and how it evolves through the eras — even though the essence of feeling is unchangeable. We are interested in masterful expression through words and the preservation of emotion within them. We are human. We are timeless.

Winged Penny Review publishes quarterly in November, February, May, and August. We chose these months as they are the transition between seasons; one moment of the year bleeds into the next. We welcome all authors, regardless of age, experience, and background. We also nominate our contributors for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. If you are interested in submitting, please read our submission guidelines.
